For over 30 years New England Fine Living's retail side of the business has been introducing non-New Englanders to some of our regions artisans and luxury brands, while also introducing New Englanders to some of the products Linda has curated from the US and around the world. 

Do you still have a retail location?

After searching for a new location, we found a new home for New England Fine Living's studio showroom and warehouse. While we get settled, our petite boutique will not be ready for public viewing for quite awhile. In the meantime, please make sure you sign up for our newsletter to know when our doors will be open to the public for seasonal events and special happenings.

Where are the items from?

Our fine living boxes include quality home, garden, and lifestyle products from local artisans and business owners from New England, USA, and Europe. That said, a small percentage of our vendors do have their quality products made in other parts of the world

Fulfillment:

Other than seasonal gift boxes and luxury boxes, that are shipped on scheduled dates, we strive to send all orders out within 7 business days of receiving them, not including weekends or holidays. 

Shipping:

At this time, customers are able to select their preference for shipping carriers, but in some cases we need to override that and ship with a carrier that will handle different box sizes or destinations. 

For example: UPS will not ship to PO Boxes and we have had to override that selection.  

Is this a subscription box or a discount box?

It's neither. Our fine living boxes have been created after many long hours of designing a concept, reaching out to artisans and vendors to purchase samples, ordering the final selections after approved by Linda, unwrapping the items once they arrive, checking each item before carefully re-wrapping them and carefully placing them in a box to create a beautiful unwrapping experience.  Each box is made for the person we are shipping it to.

If this is not a subscription, how are boxes released?

After two successful box launches, that sold out in under three minutes during a frenzy that left thousands of others frustrated, some might say too bad for them, but this did not bode well with Linda.  After a lot of research we will be trying something new in 2024. All seasonal releases and mini luxury boxes that are created throughout the year, will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Like before, once they're gone, they're gone  but with our deposit plan, this will allow us to get an idea of how many seasonal boxes to create (up to our capability and our vendor's capability). 

New seasonal box releases are shared via Linda's YouTube channel first, followed by other social media channels and newsletter if deemed necessary. Information is also listed on our website, so check in often! 

Mini and luxury fine living theme boxes are added to our online store randomly throughout the year. 

What are in the boxes?

Offered in limited quantity, our fine living boxes include home, garden, and lifestyle products that one might find while traveling around the historic towns and villages of New England and beyond. 

Each box is unique due to its theme or seasonal release, some are for decorating and some are for papering, and some are a combination of both, but in the past with a focus on Linda's signature NEFL style, she has included reproduction art, books, textiles, scented items for both home and body, gourmet treats, decor items, and gardening items inspired by life in historic New England.

Whether to keep or to give, our mini, large, and luxury fine living boxes are created for those who demand quality items and enjoy elevating their every day lives.

Why did I get something different than what was shown after the box reveal?

There are times we will need to swap out an item or items due to running out of inventory, delayed deliveries, damage, or an issue with quality, but it will be replaced with a quality item that complements everything else in the box. 

Another scenario would be if we need and are able to create a second seasonal box. We still need to limit the number of boxes we create per season, but If there is a higher demand than expected, and we have the ability to fill additional orders, we will do so. The second run of boxes might be the same or we might have to select a different item or items due to the limitations of our artisans, vendors, or shipping times.  

Will I know what I'm getting before I order?

This is a yes and no answer...  For the mini boxes we share throughout the year and possibly a luxury box or two, a photo of the items will be included on the product page.  If it's a seasonal box or a seasonal luxury box, items are kept a secret to add to the excitement of opening a box of beautiful items that are just for you.  

How much is a box?

Our boxes range from $49 to $499 and all of the prices for the Seasonal boxes will be listed prior to purchase.  Those range from $160 to $200. Box prices do not include shipping at this time, but there are times we will offer free shipping. 

Can I change an item in a box to work with my decor or lifestyle?

At this time, we are not offering that service. 

 

For the scheduled seasonal boxes our goal is to ship on or before the below dates:

The Spring Box during the week of April 1st, 2024

The Fall Box during the week of September 9th, 2024

The Christmas Box during the week of November 11th, 2024

 

Do you ship worldwide?

Currently we only ship to the contiguous US states, but we have been looking into it.   

Cancellations, Returns, & Exchanges:

We retain the right to cancel any order that has been deemed potentially fraudulent, does not follow the rules of ordering, or includes a bogus e-mail address. 

Can I cancel my order that was paid in full?

If your order has not been processed and fulfilled, we have the ability to cancel the order. Please contact us via email with your name and order number.  

If the order has been processed and fulfilled the sale cannot be cancelled, since it is no longer in our possession. 

Seasonal Boxes:

Can I cancel my Seasonal Box order that has a deposit?

Yes, as long as the order is canceled before the final billing date, your deposit will be fully credited to the payment method used on your account. If you cancel after the full payment has been made, you can cancel the order if it has not already been fulfilled, which usually happens a day or two after payment is received.  Otherwise the sale is final, with no returns or credits.

If I cancel part of my order what happens?

If you ordered several items and want to cancel part of it and IF you have a deposit on the order, such as for a Fine Living Box, it will be credited to your account and used towards your other purchases. 

When will my credit card or paypal account be charged for the final balance on my seasonal box order?

Final payments for the seasonal box ordered will be charged prior to the boxes being mailed starting on the following dates.

2024 Spring Box: March 25th, 2024

2024 Fall Box: September 2nd, 2024

2024 Halloween (TBD)

2024 Christmas/Winter Box: November 4th, 2024

Can I return my order?

Due to the nature of our business, all sales are final once the order has been completed. Linda has made sure many of the items are perfect for gift giving to others.  

If you have a question about an item, that is not answered in the description, please email us before placing your order.

We take pride in our packaging and check items before they go out, but if an item arrives damaged or you received the wrong item please email us immediately with a photo of the damaged/wrong item, along with your order number, to nefineliving@gmail.com. We handle each issue on an individual basis. 

If the wrong item is received, please email us with your order number.  If the item you ordered is still in stock, we will send you a paid return receipt for the item to be shipped back to us.  Once we receive the item, that must be unused, not damaged, and in it's packaging, we will send out the correct item.

Do you have a product or products you would like us to consider for  future Fine Living boxes?

If you offer a quality luxury product, that is made in New England, the USA, Canada, or Europe, we would certainly love to learn more about it.  Please send us an email with photos or a website link.  We won't be able to get back to everyone, but please know we will look at it and we will keep your information on file for potential use in the future.
